What is WYSIWYG platform?
WYSIWYG is an abbreviation of "What You See Is What You Get" meaning something you see is what you will obtain. This is a nickname used to describe the software where the final design spending is available in conjunction with content development. WYSIWYG is often pronounced as Wizi-wig. One of its main applications is WEB design. The software allows the resulting page to be shown the exact or similar as designed by the author. In other words, the WYSIWYG editor or program is the one that allows developers to see the end result of what will look if the interface or design are made.
It is supposed to be a more manageable platform compared with the earliest web design when it was necessary to separate a web page plan into two parts: Program and Design. With WYSIWYG, this can help save the designer's time by generating automatic programs.
WYSIWYG Mode with three different levels of realism. This is the mode of composition, layout mode, and preview mode. In the user's perspective, the composition mode sees something quite similar to the ending result. This is the final product that will be exactly equal to the expected user. In Layout view, users see something very similar to the end result. Here the final product will be a bit similar to the expected product. In preview mode, the application attempts to present the representation as close as possible to the end result.
The HTML software of this type can be described as a user interface that allows users to see something very similar to the end result while the document or image is being created. The earliest similar software would be Adobe FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver. For example, users can display on the screen how a document will appear when it is printed on paper or in the case of this article, which is displayed in a Web browser. The editing software gives designers the ability to change the layout of a document without typing the HTML or CSS code.
As a web designer, this type of software can help us design the prototype and provide a platform to help the Junior Web Designer develop HTML skills, as they can refer to the HTML code that is created by the program for them. The WYSIWYG software can also help speed up the experienced web designer, allowing them to format the text and proofread their Web pages more quickly by switching to display mode the display code instead.
Some Web design software is the most fabulous as Adobe Dreamweaver does a very good job producing a valid code platform compatible and Cross-platform, without limiting your design.
The advanced HTML editor, such as MS FrontPage and Dreamweaver, will protect HTML designers and allow WEB designers to think completely about how content should appear without worrying about the code. However, one of the tradeoffs is that the HTML editor with the display mode can sometimes enter the markup code it needed, all alone. Then the developer needs to know enough about the markup language is to go back to the source and clean it up manually.
As a professional web designer, I've used a lot of the progress you see is what you get an editor for the pasted 20 years. Even though it is one of the most complex publishers, Dreamweaver has been a software design and coding industry standards. Adobe Dreamweaver offers an excellent display mode to users, but beginners can fight without a basic understanding of HTML and WEB standards. Nevertheless, this is an excellent tool for starting and for professionals.
In addition, there are many new easy to use website builder emerged nowadays, such as WIX, WordPress, Weebly, Squarespace, Mobirise, CoffeeCup etc. Those are very user friendly and includes web hosting services, which is very popular nowadays. As a web designer, one of the big disadvantages would be the limitation on website modification. Those website builders will not allow the designer or developer to insert any programming code which limits flexibility. Their purpose is to send an easy to edit platform for user to edit the website themselves instead of hiring a designer, and then create many add-on apps for user to purposes. In a website owner's point of view at the beginning, it will cost a lot less than hiring a professional web designer. The development time for a non-web designer to learn can be very costly; add-ons apps are also needed with an unlimited monthly cost. But then they also have big advantages such as created easy tools for existing designers to create webpages more quickly.
