Use different Skin care routine for Summer and Winter

Come summer, come winter and we can see a drastic change in the way our skin behaves. While summer time welcomes the sun and tanning season, winter brings out the dryness and dullness of our skin. With these changes in our skin, it's becomes paramount to follow a skin care regimen that will best suit our skin according to the weather outside. Here are some things you need to follow in order to keep your skin looking healthy and glowing throughout the year:

Stay Hydrated

Of course when it's 40 degrees outside, there is no doubt your body will need to quench that thirst and refresh itself with a big glass of cool water. However, when winter comes, we may not feel the need to drink a lot of water but it's essential to still drink 6-8 glasses of water a day to keep our skin hydrated and prevent the dryness that comes with the cold weather.  Skin also need as much water as the body and adjustment is needed between the two extreme seasons.


Using a moisturizer is important no matter what time of the year. While in the summers you may opt for a lighter gel based formula, go for a creamier base in the winters because that is the time when you need something that will keep your skin feeling soft and hydrated for a longer time.  If you have dry skin, without moisturizer in the winter might lead to some serious dryness.  Even though skin might not need as much moisturizing in the Summer time but it is also necessary for a light layer to avoid inner dryness.
