DIY Homemade mask recipe - Ginseng

One would not expect less from ginseng for a perennial plant species found mostly in North America and eastern Asia. It thrives in a cool climate, probably because of how "cool" it is. Ginseng presents its f in two pure types, the American ginseng and the Asian, referred to as the Korean ginseng. This herb is dated back to use in traditional Chinese medicines, and it is a very expensive root. However, ginseng has not yet been given the standard dosage to be used for any health condition.

Ginseng has very significant benefits to the skin. Most popularly, it is known as an anti-aging ingredient. It can give substantial and tight skin. It also has the ability to balance oils, thus is good for all skin types naturally. Ginseng brightens and lightens the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It is also known to treat dark circles and skin diseases. 

DIY homemade ginseng mask recipes 

1. Ginseng powder mask


  • 1 ginseng powder tea bags 
  • 1 cup boiled water 
  • Cotton ball 
  • Mixing bowl 


Dissolve the teabag in hot water. Leave the mixture at room temperature until it cools. Soak the cotton ball with the tea. Apply gently all over your face. Leave it on all day or wash off with warm water and apply your favorite moisturizer. 

2. Milk powder and ginseng root mask


  • 1 tablespoon Milk powder 
  • 2 tablespoons ginseng powder 
  • 1 tablespoon Warm water 
  • Procedure 

Mix the ingredients in a bowl to form a thick paste. Apply using a cotton ball gently on your face. Leave it for maximum 10 minutes to dry. Rinse off with warm water and apply moisturizer. 

3. Turmeric lemon and ginseng mask



  • 2 tablespoons ginseng
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder 
  • A tablespoon lemon juice 
  • Procedure 

Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Apply gently on the skin and leave to dry for maximum 5 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

It contains vitamin A which helps solve dry skin issues. It also contains lactic acid that h ps unclog your skin pores and eliminates the microbes responsible for it.
